Originally made as a single in early 2010. Description from a 2011 posting of the song:
"This is a song I made as a test for my keyboard when I first got it. Almost all the sounds came directly from my keyboard (most songs I make with the keyboard mix it in with other VSTs and etc).
When I composed this, I had just finished a very tumultous couple of years moving to Louisiana -- as in, I kept moving back and forth between multiple places there and my former place of residence in NH -- and therefore, that 3-day drive that happened once every year or two for family vacations happened 3 or 4 times in a span under two years.
To stop beating around the bush: the long, beautifully boring stretches of scenery on these drives are what inspired this."
